88 ZC not a Si tranny......car could have kept the Si tranny, or swapped in a ZC tranny. Was the motor SOHC or DOHC?

Can't match the tranny to anything, the sticker means nothing.

I'm the "D" tranny guru.......

I think what Bone was saying is that any of these tranny codes will be SI:

PL3/B000
PL3/3000
PL3/6000
PL3/9000

read the codes aboce, the ONLY way to tell a SI tranny without opening it up or driving it.

I've been at this for 8+ years, LISTEN.

Urm, read the posts above, provide us with the code, or read Fizz's post as too which codes are for the Si.

Either way, you gotta read.

ok b4 this gets the edit boot... UP to wher i know 88-91 civic trannys have a L3...and why would some one take the stiker off? once its off it wont stik the same way. the heat from the motor would make it fall off. your best bet is buy it and try it, if its not a si tranny its a hf tranny just make sure its not a 4 speed tranny((am i right 88-91 civic 5 speed trannys came on the si and on the crx hf)
